Violet Lorene Gilster

Violet Lorene Gilster, age 75 of Faribault, formerly of Le Center, died Sunday, May 29, 2016 at Pleasant Manor in Faribault. Visitation will be held at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Le Center on Wednesday, June 1, 2016 from 9:00 � 11:00 a.m. Memorial service will also be on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Daniel Watland officiating. Burial will be held in Fort Snelling Cemetery in Minneapolis.

Violet was born on June 10, 1940 in Waseca to Arthur and Ella (Klinder) Schwarz. She graduated from Janesville High School. Violet was united in marriage to Alvin Gilster on August 10, 1958 in Janesville. She retired in 2002 from Le Center Public School where she worked as a cook.
Violet is survived by her husband, Alvin Gilster of Faribault; children, Debra (Pat) Bauleke of Waseca, Donna (Steve) Robbins of Lancaster, SC, and Jeff Gilster of Hagar City, WI; grandchildren, Abby (Pat) Miller, Dezi Bauleke, Brian (fianc�e, Callie Boehme) Bauleke, Cody (Tina) Bauleke, Kyle (Stacy) Robbins, Angella Robbins, Paige Gilster, and Chelsea Gilster; great-grandchildren, Haydin, Zaelyiah, Kryxus, Alizybeth, Tyler, Tristian, Colten, and one on the way in July; siblings, Florence (Bill) Braun of Waseca, Beverly (Pat) Muldoon of Madison Lake, and LaJune (John) Schmidt of Janesville; sisters and brothers-in-law, Lou Anne Schwarz of Winona, Ken Spotts of Mankato, Wanita (Frank) Groskreutz of Waseca, John (special friend, Marge) Gilster of Waseca, Florence Gilster of Albert Lea, Judy (Le Rae) Webber of Waseca, Janice Samaraka of Estherville, IA, and Larry (Sue) Gilster of St. Peter; and many nieces and nephews.

Violet is preceded in death by parents; siblings, Clifford Schwarz, LuVerne (Yvonne) Schwarz, Alice Spotts; brothers-in-law, Dan Gilster, and Nick Samaraka; and mother and father-in-law, Arno and Alvina Gilster.
