Virginia (Kajer) Brown, age 93 of Le Center, died peacefully on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at Mala Strana Health Care in New Prague with family and friends at her side. Visitation will be on Wednesday, December 6 from 4-8pm at Le Center Funeral Home in Le Center. Funeral service will be Thursday, December 7 at 10:30am at St. Thomas Catholic Church in St. Thomas with visitation one hour prior at the funeral home. Interment will be in St. Thomas Cemetery.
Virginia was born on July 1, 1924 to George and Margaret (Savage) Kajer in New Prague. Virginia was a New Prague graduate in 1942 and then went to teacher's college for two years. Virginia was a teacher for 25 years for St. Mary's Catholic School and Le Center Elementary. She was united in marriage to Milton L. Brown on September 16, 1950 in New Prague. She enjoyed gardening, and baking (especially chocolate chip cookies for her son and grandchildren).
Virginia is survived by her children, Mary Jean (Pat) Anderly of Henderson, Margaret (Peggy) (Jeff Dalsted) of Bloomington, and Patrick Brown of Le Center; brother, Bill (Joyce) Kajer of New Prague; sisters-in-law, Helen Kajer of New Prague, and Doris Kubes of New Prague; 5 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Virginia is preceded in death by her husband, Milton Brown; parents; granddaughter, Kathleen Anderly; and siblings, Ron Kajer, and Bernice Hruby.
