William Floyd “Bill” Hix

William Floyd “Bill” Hix, age 90 of Montgomery passed away on Sunday, January 28, 2024 at St. Francis Regional Medical Center in Shakopee. Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2024 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. with Memorial Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. all at Most Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Montgomery. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Le Sueur. Military Honors will be provided by the Montgomery area Military Honor Guard. In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to your favorite Veterans organization.

Bill was born on June 21, 1933 in Kasota Township to Floyd and Violet (Fay) Hix. He served in the United States Air Force from 1952-1956 as an Airman Sec. Class. He was united in marriage to Nancy A. Bratsch on December 28, 1955. He worked for Green Giant in Montgomery and Le Sueur for 30 years. Bill was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Montgomery American Legion.

Bill is survived by son, Tim (Janice) Hix, Wilmington, DE, their children Sarah (David) Sallstrom, Alma and Stina Sallstrom, William (Rachel) Hix, Oliver and Elijah, Allyson Hix; son, Marty (Delphine) Hix, Madison, SD, their children A.J. and Ashley; daughter, Colleen (Jon) Wincentsen, Edina, MN and their daughter, Clare.

Bill is preceded in death by his wife, Nancy; parents, Floyd and Violet; siblings, Donald Hix, Kathryn Callahan, and Helen Koktavy.
