Phyllis Marie Pelowski, age 90 of Lexington passed away on Thursday, July 7, 2022 at Mala Strana Health Care in New Prague. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 12 from 4:00-7:00pm at the Schoenbauer Funeral Home in Montgomery. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Wednesday, July 13 at 10:30am at Most Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Montgomery with Father Tom Niehaus & Father Mike Krenik officiating. Burial will be held at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery in Lexington. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to a charity of your choice in Phyllis’ name.
Phyllis was born on May 5, 1932 to Steve and Mae (Sullivan) Koralesky in New Prague. She attended District 107 grade school and graduated from New Prague High School in 1950. Phyllis was united in marriage to John Pelowski on June 24, 1950 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Lexington. Phyllis worked as a cook for the Montgomery-Lonsdale school for over 35 years. Phyllis was a member of Most Holy Redeemer CCW and a Life Member of the VFW Auxiliary in Montgomery. She volunteered at Pioneer Power helping with tours of the St. Joseph’s Church after being moved to the Pioneer Power grounds. She loved cooking, baking, playing cards, visiting and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Phyllis is survived by her children, Mike (Debbie) Pelowski of Backus, Gary (Carol) Pelowski, of Le Center and Lynn (Gary) Heinzig of Montgomery; 5 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; 1 great great granddaughter; 3 step grandchildren; 5 step great grandchildren.
Phyllis is preceded in death by her husband; son, Charles Pelowski; parents; step-mother, Esther Koralesky; brother, Bob; sister, Irene Tviedt; brothers and sisters-in-law, Tony & Rosie Pelowski, Butch & MaryAnn Schanus, Bill and Hedi Pelowski, Fred Braun and Doreen Koralesky.
