Dennis Vlasak

Dennis Vlasak, age 74 of Shieldsville passed away on Saturday, April 15, 2023 at his home surrounded by family. Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 23 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Schoenbauer Funeral Home in Montgomery and from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Monday, April 24 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Shieldsville with Mass of Christian Burial following at 10:30 a.m. with Father Tom Niehaus officiating. Burial will be at St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Shieldsville.

Dennis was born on September 11, 1948 in New Prague, MN to Edward and Stella (Novotny) Vlasak. He attended Holy Redeemer Catholic School and graduated from Montgomery High School in 1966. He went to Dunwoody for tool and die machining. Dennis was united in marriage to Carole Sirek on January 6, 1968 at Immaculate Conception Church in Lonsdale. Dennis worked for various tool companies and then later opened C&D Tool in 1977. Later merged with Tooling Science and retired in 2020.
Dennis was an avid sportsman and loved the outdoors. He enjoyed trap shooting, hunting, and fishing.

Dennis is survived by his wife, Carole; children, Kirk (Julie) Vlasak of St. Michael, Jason Vlasak (Julie Berens) of Princeton, Linton Vlasak (Heidi Leverty) of Isanti; grandchildren, Taylor (Alyssa) Vlasak, Jordan Vlasak, Erin Vlasak, and Allen (Kelsey) Vlasak; great-grandchild, Maggie Joe Vlasak; siblings, David Vlasak of Montgomery, Carol (Ken) Ernste of Faribault, Butch (Debbie) Vlasak of Montgomery, Gary “Whitey” Vlasak of Lonsdale, Lori Edberg of Burnsville, Joseph (Sharon) Vlasak of Montgomery and Barb (Paul) Schneider of Lakeville; brother-in-law, Don (Linda) Sirek; sister-in-law, Dorothy Sirek-Flicek. Many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Dennis is preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Stella; brother, Charles Vlasak; father and mother-in-law, George and Gladys Sirek.
